“To serve and be of service to my students”
Hi, I’m Rachel.
Yoga, for me, is a way of paying attention to the body, the breath, and how we meet ourselves. It invites us to notice without forcing and to respond with care rather than habit. Over time, the practice supports steadiness, presence, and self-attunement, without being
about intensity or performance.
I teach classes that are open to all levels and experiences. They are for people who want to move with more awareness and ease. Many come simply wanting to feel better in their bodies, without pushing past limits or ignoring what their bodies are telling them.
Over the years, I have studied movement through trauma-informed and evidence-based frameworks. My teaching is shaped by exercise science, biomechanics, and years of personal practice and teaching, as well as by listening to what shows up in real bodies over time.
In class, we slow things down enough to notice. We move with the breath, explore mobility and strength thoughtfully, and make space for autonomy. I care about how movement feels, not just how it looks, and I’m intentional about why we do what we do.
I am deeply grateful to the teachers who have influenced my path, including Copper Crow, Jules Mitchell, Cecily Milne, Jean Byrne, Michelle Papa from Mindful Birth,
Sangeeta Vallabhan, Zabie Yamasaki and Arundhati Baitmangalkar.
Outside the studio, I enjoy walks with my family and our dogs (I have a Singapore Special and a Labrador Retriever), moving my body in different ways such as strength training, spin classes with my husband, and continuing to learn about movement and teaching.
If you’re looking for a yoga practice that is grounded, respectful, and non-judgmental,
you are welcome here.
I look forward to sharing the mats with you.
What Students Are Saying
I have been diligently attending Rachel’s class for more than a year now. Her teaching style coupled with her calming voice embodies what yoga means to me. She is always eager to impart and share her yoga knowledge with her students, incorporates various movements during her classes to accommodate our experience level. This is why I always look forward to attending her classes.
I started practicing yoga in my 50’s and as a result I am feeling great both mentally and physically these days. My flexibility and sense of balance have also improved. I only wish I had started at a younger age.
Thank you Rachel for setting a fine example of what a yoga practitioner should be.

Rachel has taught me that there is no ‘right’ or ‘better’ way of doing a yoga pose. She teaches me how to approach the same yoga poses differently but with good reasons. She is also very encouraging and genuinely cares about my well being. She checks in with me and asks how I am feeling in every class. She never fails to remind me that our bodies feel different everyday and to tune in to our bodies’ needs. I really enjoy our private sessions together and am very happy to give her this testimonial.

I am more aware of my body and have better control when moving in and out of poses. I like that Rachel provides options for different levels of abilities and encourages us to take the option that feels right for our bodies on that day to make sure no one is left behind in class. There is always something new to learn in her classes!
