“I was looking for a place to take up 200hrs YTT and really glad that I found this space. I took classes from another Yoga studio but Sweatbox Yoga environment felt more welcoming. So far I have only attended Lynette’s and Rachel's classes, and I love how they always provide options for each asana where we could have space to explore at our own pace.

The YTT intensive is well-structured and will require us to make time for self-study and weekly assignments. Both Rachel and Lynette are very experienced teachers who encourage critical thinking and instil curiosity and creativity which makes every lesson insightful and fun.

“I attended the April - June 2021, 200-hour YTT course, and am really glad about how it turned out. 2 weeks into the course, we had the sudden Phase 2 lockdown situation again, but Lynette and Rachel were quick to respond and went out of their way to try to make things work as well as they could for us. Because of the restrictions, it turned into an offline/online hybrid class which worked well and I felt was actually needed in a period where most classes would actually be held like so.

What got me to sign up for the YTT with Sweatbox was their take on Yoga. We learnt and studied the traditional roots of yoga but kept a modern eye on it. Lynette and Rachel had brought their teachings from other movement modalities and incorporated them into their yoga practices. While still respecting the roots of yoga, they still got us thinking about why certain moves are performed the way they are, and if they should continue to be done that way.

It is teachers like these that bring about positive change to the evolving world of yoga and would certainly recommend taking your YTT with Sweatbox if you're looking for one.”
